Their debut album ‘Grin’, produced by fuzz loving tastemaker Rory Atwell and MJ of Hookworms, perfectly encapsulated the restlessness that defines growing up in a small town. Now the Chichester based three-piece return rejuvenated and bloodthirsty with their first release of 2014, a five track EP called 'Cissa'. This new set of songs feels like it came from a similar place, while soaring through an as yet unexplored sonic world. They’ve reinstated their creative team of Rory and MJ, A producer power-duo if ever there was one, and it proves to be an inspired mix.
A deep cinematic dive, the textures and tone choices are top-notch and the tunes are pretty memorable overall. I like the more recent release on Ipecac a little better, but this is definitely worth checking out. Cosmographer
